MCM – 7 DAYS!!!

Well, computing coursework is finally over and thank god for that. All I have to worry about now are the fast approaching exams and the half a unit of i-Media I have yet to complete.

TurtleStomp podcast is back after a whole month week. So a nice little link here (cause I co-host and edit it, that’s why (before you ask that is)).

I have now started playing Team Fortress 2 as Tom bought it for me due to some debt he owed me. I dunno why I keep linking to his site on here as he hasn’t bothered to renew the domain, I guess it’s to rub it in a bit

Haven’t had a lot of time to play monster hunter yet, although there will be. MCM is 1 week today, haven’t been more excited about it. Plans after MCM involve passing my driving test and building a good gaming PC (Finally). The parts I am planning to make it with are here.

Oh wait I am not actually doing my computing work (which I probably should) but yes, I sort of linked here from Tom’s computing project saying I was going to start blogging again and he said yeah right (with sarcasm of course), so here it is.

Been about 5 to 6 weeks since I last blogged, and it was just before Soul Silver/Heart Gold was released. Well I don’t want to talk about that much, completed all 16 Gym Leaders was starting to fill my Pokédex and train in preparation for Red, and then lost it along with my DS Lite shortly after my birthday.

But yeah, 13th April I turned Legal (18 (because I am in the UK of course)) which ended up involving Rock Band, Alcohol, Curly Fries, Warhawk, PizzaHut, Quazar (“what the hell is that?” ) and more alcohol (over a course of 2 days) much fun was had, and those involved will agree too. 23rd April or whenever it came out I got Monster Hunter tri for the Wii. Will probably end up reviewing that some time on MTTG then reposting on TurtleStomp and here, so if your thinking of getting it but not sure keep an eye out here.

Been also watching the UK elections closely and may make a post about that sometime if I get bored too. But no doubt most people know what is going on by now anyway, also I want to finish writing this post in time to go watch Doctor Who at 18:00.

Not that anyone keeps an eye on this site (ever (maybe just when I tweet and post to Facebook about it)) but anyway my domain name expired for a few days around the 17th April (if I recall correctly) this was then fixed about 5 to 6 days later when I got paid.

In upcoming news: MCM! Bought tickets and all set to go, got another 3 weeks or so then straight after it’s Tom’s 18th so I guess we’ll be up the Pub again for that. After that got my A2 exams, I’ll then be looking into passing my driving test, then finally after all of that I will get round to building my new PC, then I will be able to PC game online (as in I can run more then just CSS or UT99). So I guess that’s pretty much it for now. So.. bai

A busy week?

Where to start then…

Well for those who have not been in the know, on Monday night I set myself a challenge to completely play through the entirety of Pokémon Saphire version on the GBA and to finish before the release date of Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. The date I am writing this post is the day before release, and all I managed to achieve was 3 badges, so I failed that.But this was probably because of all the other things I have had to deal with this week.

But the one of the bigger things  (to me that is) THIS WEBSITE! Yes whichisdaryl.com is now it’s own official website instead of a forwarder to a subdomain on frozenhaddock.co.uk After upgrading our streamline account to a bulk user account this gave us hosting for up to 10 websites. This was done for us to get moretothegame.co.uk, and allowed us to set up turtlestomp.com a month ago, it then dawned upon me and my friend tom that we still had another 7 websites of hosting we were paying for and was doing just gathering dust. We each had our domain names which were forwarders, so just a bit of budging nameservers and hell yeah, on our own website. Which now means you can email me at daryl@whichisdaryl.com or admin@whichisdaryl.com take your pick, they’ll all just forward to my gmail

TurtleStomp podcast episode 3 was recorded yesterday origianally with 2 guest hosts replacing Tom. But then he turned up, now leaving me to edit 6 hosts on a near 2 hour podcast. This has pretty much left me unable to write and upload the podcast in the same night as I have done before.

Also, in a court case which has been going on for a few years now, my Mum finally won and has had her loan voided, here are a few news articles:

A hard night's work

This weekend was fun…

I spent all Saturday night into Sunday morning in IRC and writing content for both MOREtotheGAME and TurtleStomp. You should go check it out.

• My blur review is finally out
• I had a look at the Just Cause 2 demo

Coming soon I will be reviewing Heavy Rain (trying to avoid spoilers). Still eagerly awaitng the release of Pokémon Soul Silver on Friday. So expect some talk about that, at least on here (no doubt everyone will be writing for MTTG about it). Make sure you listen to TurtleStomp the week after it’s release for plenty of talk about it too!

That’s it for now, but hey I’m still remembering to blog here at the moment.

So apperently, I'm giving this another shot

Hmm it must have been a good 7 or 8 months ago I forgot about this site at first, and about 3 or 4 months I closed the site (a wordpress upgrade broke it and meant I couldn’t write anything) and was going to get it running again allowing me to try this whole blogging thing again.

But here it finally is, March 2010 the month I finally bunched this together and here is allegedly is.

Now since this website was last active a whole load of stuff has happened (Internet-wise):

• Set up a gaming review website with someone I know from college plus a few friends
• Owner gets pissy about admin rights and breaks aforementioned site when he got admin access.
• Me and said friends leave and form our own website of which I am an Admin and co-writer - MOREtotheGAME
• Me and a few other writers for MTTG decided to make a podcast – TurtleStomp Podcast
• I actually use my twitter now – Dazza_13
• My flickr pro account has expired and is yet to be renewed It’s been pretty inactive too, but take a look if you want.
• I have discovered the joys of IRC (mainly on AIRC server in #turtlestomp and #moretothegame)

As far as content goes I am going to try and force myself to write a minimum of once a week, but it may slow down from  that too if there’s not a lot going on.

I am also using zemanta, so I am going to try and add an image from it to every post (if I don’t have any of mine to add).
